PHP Ninja

Job Description
You are excellent at PHP, sometimes dabble in C on the weekends. Enjoy solving problems that haven't existed before. Realize that performance is a product. Know how to design for scale, and are willing to make mistakes. There are some things that you know better than anyone else.
Responsibilities
  • Strong experience with PHP
  • Prefer some experience with C
  • Have worked on the operations end of an internet business - know server management/administration / Apache etc
  • Experience with development and administration of MySQL
  • Experience integrating Memcache in large scale production environments
  • Have worked in small dev team / large operations environments before.

Designer

Job Description
You will be responsible for the visual design and interactive experience of the site. You will be responsible for all facets of our design process: user testing and strategy, information architecture, visual design, and prototyping.
Responsibilities
  • Conceptual and detailed design of the site
  • Propose and develop novel UI concepts and stay current with trends in Web-based UIs
  • Develop design specifications and work collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure efficient and correct implementation
  • Work closely with the Product Management and Business roles in our team to understand the best ways to address user needs, as well as or strategic direction
  • Perform targeted user research to analyze customer requirements together with Product Management
  • Targeted validation of new features or concepts with users using various means from conceptual prototypes and focus groups through to analyzing actual product usage patterns
  • Writing CSS to rapidly prototype and deploy new functionality
